Ambrosia Apple


Ambrosia is a “Canadian” variety and originates from British Colombia from the early 1990s. The fruit is medium to large and has a pink tinged Orange/Red colour. It is the last of our varieties to mature but the most flavourful. Ambrosia are naturally low in acid which means they’re slow to brown after being cut open. These unique characteristics mean that rules that apply to many other apples don’t apply to Ambrosia. They have a soft skin and are easy to eat raw but are also very good apples for cooking. Some people find the flavour of Ambrosia apples simply the best.
